Terms & Conditions for Bahamaprime

Welcome to Bahamaprime.com. By accessing our website and placing an order, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully, as they include important information regarding food safety, delivery, and our return policy.


1. Eligibility & Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase products from this website.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account details and for all activities that occur under your account.


2. Product Accuracy (Weights & Descriptions)

  • Natural Variations: Because our meats are hand-cut by master butchers, all weights provided on the website are approximations.
  • Weight Guarantee: We strive to ensure that the actual weight delivered is within +/- 10% of the weight ordered. If a significant shortage occurs, we will provide a partial store credit or a substitute item of equal or greater value.
  • Images: Product images are for illustrative purposes; the actual cut, marbling, and color of the meat may vary slightly.


3. Pricing & Payment

  • All prices are listed in Bahamian Dollars (BSD) or US Dollars (USD) as indicated.
  • Prices are subject to VAT (Value Added Tax) where applicable under Bahamian law.
  • We reserve the right to adjust prices at any time due to market fluctuations in the cost of livestock and imported goods.


4. Delivery & The "Cold Chain"

  • Local Delivery: We currently deliver to [New Providence / specific islands]. You are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address and a working contact number.
  • Customer Responsibility: Meat is highly perishable. Once our driver delivers the package (either to a person or a designated "safe spot" requested by you), the cold chain becomes your responsibility. * Immediate Storage: You must refrigerate or freeze all products immediately upon receipt. Bahamaprime is not liable for spoilage due to delayed storage after a successful delivery.


5. Cancellation Policy

  • Because our orders are custom-cut to your specifications, cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before your scheduled delivery window. Once a butcher has begun preparing your specific cuts, the order cannot be canceled or refunded.


6. Food Safety & Liability

  • Cooking: Bahamaprime is not responsible for illness or dissatisfaction resulting from improper handling, cross-contamination in your kitchen, or incorrect cooking temperatures.
  • Allergens: Please be aware that while we maintain high sanitation standards, our facility may handle various seasonings or products that contain allergens.

7. Governing Law

  • These terms are governed by the laws of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas. Any disputes shall be handled within the jurisdiction of the Bahamian courts.

Return and Refund Policy

9. Return & Refund Policy (The Perishable Goods Rule)

Based on international health and safety standards for the handling of raw meat:

  • No Returns: For food safety reasons, we cannot accept physical returns of meat products. Once a perishable item has left our controlled environment, we cannot verify its storage temperature and therefore cannot restock or resell it.
  • Quality Issues & Damages: If you are dissatisfied with the quality of your order (e.g., the vacuum seal is broken, the meat is spoiled upon arrival, or the item is incorrect), you must:
    1. Contact us within 4 hours of delivery.
    2. Provide clear photographic evidence of the product and the packaging.

  • Resolutions: At our discretion, we will offer a replacement of the product or a store credit for the value of the affected item. We do not offer cash refunds for "change of mind" once an order has been delivered.
